A watering globe works by providing a slow and steady supply of water to your plants. It limits the ability of water to leave the globe using a small opening for the water to escape.
To use a watering globe, fill up the globe by the hole in the bottom using a gentle water stream.
Then invert it into the soil, carefully push the long thin neck into the pot. While doing this a small amount of water may dribble out, but that will slow down once it is in.
Watering globes are in additional to normal watering not in place of. Water your plant first, then fill the globe and place it in.
The plant will take the water as it needs it and when the globe is empty you can start over.
This is different for every plant. Some like to dry out between waterings, others do not, there are apps and other resources to find out what your plant likes best.
